Manchester Evening News, 17th June 08: This design's a cert
Dianne Bourne
"I will be heading off to Royal Ascot to cover the event for the Manchester
Evening News, it rather ruined my plans of hoping to stick a bit of feather
in my hair and hope that will suffice. Certainly this is not the year for
being a shrinking violet when it comes to headwear - as statement hats are
back with a vengeance.
Rather conveniently for me, as the Ascot invite lands on my desk, so too
does a notice of the launch of a brand new couture milliner right here in
the city centre."
The result:
"a fabulous swirl of blues - . Jen has even used pages from the M.E.N, including The Diary page, printed on to linen in the curls of the hat."
Manchester Evening News, 23rd June 08: Party people in fashion
"... in the city centre the ladies were all getting very excited about the launch of new hat studio H'Atelier and the chance to be a little bit girly and try on as many of the stunning headwear creations as possible.
. Jen was the hostess with most at her new hat studio on Faraday Street in the Northern Quarter."
Manchester Confidential: Lynda Moyo finds a shop that's ahead of itself
"The current hat collection at Hatelier is for women who want to add
something daringly different to their look. Think SJP at the Sex and the
City premiere.
H'atelier is the best place in the city centre to find a one-off hat. After
Jen has worked her magic, what you're left with is a piece of headwear which
will last forever."

Nice little piece about fascinators (although the f********* word is banned
in H'atelier - we prefer "headpiece" - so much classier, don't
you think?) and our courses, which are planned to start in Spring 09.

Just showing off
Me and my lovely daughter Cleo at the opening of Vivienne Westwood's Anglomania
store (another great excuse to wear a hat!) Cleo, incidentally, owns two
of Manchester's best bars, Odd
and Odder. If you've
never been, you really should
